The St Albans Courthouse
The old holding cells (jail cells) have been converted into bathrooms (with underfloor heating – something we are sure the old visitors to the cells would have appreciated), and the old exercise yard, kept in its original these housing a foosball table, and dart board (not to mention a wood burner for those chilly nights).
There are fires located throughout the building creating a really snug, warm and cosy environment – the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring the valley. And, newly installed air conditioning is available in the formal living and dining rooms.
The Courthouse contains a fully equipped country kitchen, with new 90cm oven – for the chefs at heart, plus a gas BBQ outside.
St. Albans is a truly majestic location. For the more adventurous guests there are fantastic bush walks, river swimming and bike rides. For those that are looking for a more relaxed visit, why not take a gentle country stroll followed by a long, lazy lunch at the Settlers Inn (the only pub in town!). Kate and Rob are generally on site and able to help you find a bush walk that suits your group.
Did we mention the pool!? It’s awesome.
Rates
The Courthouse is $800 a night, 2 night minimum weekend hire. Currently we are offering the 3rd night free!
Our Rooms
There are a selection of accommodation options to choose from.
The Courthouse has 4 very comfortable double rooms (3 x queen, 2 x single beds), luxurious linen and towels are included.
Travelling with a larger group? The old Courthouse stables has now been converted into a studio apartment (30m from the Courthouse), and the Homestead is $100m on the same property (sleeps 8).
Your Stay
Check in is normally 2pm and check out at 10am, however, we can be flexible, check with us at the time of booking.
If you wish to hire only 3 rooms, then talk to us about a reduced rate. We aim to please.
There is no mobile phone reception in St. Albans – it’s the perfect opportunity to escape for a while. However Telstra Air, is available in town (100m away), please note the app must be downloaded prior to arriving.
There are no supermarkets in St. Albans so you will need to bring all of your lunch and dinner items with you. Or dine locally at the Settlers Arms Inn……
